Today we have the opportunity to share another installment in our “Instructor Features” blog series! This week we have Andy Greenwell to celebrate! Andy is a piano, voice, and French horn instructor with a wide variety of musical interests. He is passionate about all styles of music, and his excitement is what drives him and his students to continuously educate, create, and innovate.
As with many areas of study and expertise, music is an area with many words that become synonymous to the general public. For example, “Keyboards” and “pianos” are words that are often jumbled and misconceived. When you refer to one of these words, you may be referring to something different than what you intend - so let’s clarify.

Erin is a piano enthusiast who studied classical music performance and theory, and she loves seeing students feel comfortable even when making mistakes and excited in their accomplishments.
I’ve seen so many do it this way - people become interested in learning the piano, then they go to a music studio or instructor’s home to learn it there. Or, even farther down the spectrum, they try to learn how to play via an app on a phone. Although we ought to celebrate the music-making happening here still, the benefits of having a piano inside your own home far outweigh any other conveniences or frugality in general.
