October Student Spotlight: Lauryn S.

Congratulations to Lauryn S., who has earned Vibe's "Student Spotlight" this month!

Lauryn is a trumpet student of Jordan Koehlinger. Here's what Jordan had to say about Lauryn:

Lauryn S. is a hardworking, talented, and inquisitive young musician who demonstrates a musical maturity beyond her years. Playing with confidence, musicianship, and skill, Lauryn excels in both lessons and her ensembles at school. This year, she earned a place in her middle school’s top band despite being only a seventh grader, and she was awarded third chair! In addition to playing in Symphonic Band, Lauryn is also excited to start playing in the Jazz and Pep band at her school soon.

Working with Lauryn is a joy because of her love for music and natural inquisitiveness. She works hard on all her lesson material, and she is constantly looking to challenge herself with more difficult music. Lauryn nurtures a deep curiosity for all aspects of music, and she has asked me so many thoughtful questions that we have started working on music theory in addition to trumpet. Lauryn has made a tremendous amount of progress for a musician so young, and I am excited to see her continue to grow even more.

Our student spotlights recognize our students who are exceptionally demonstrating growth and alignment with our purpose. We are so grateful to be associated with these fantastic students.
